Umra is A 10 year old girl who lost her mother at an early age and now has to look after her father and her younger brother so going to school wasnt an option. Only 2 year ago her and her father attend cousiling and Umra started to attend school and became Bal manch leader which is essentially student council leader. Umra and her friends think they can open up about anything at school and can be themselves and express themselves.

Umra is one of the luvky children in Northen India. There are over 6 million children who dont go to school in india and even worse 40% adolescent girls drop out of school due to deteriorating financial conditions, child marriage, superstitions or sheer ignorance. Oxfam are trying to raise awareness about this situation but not even just for india but for other countries around the world who have this problem.
