elatively new to the bike
packing scene, Jacquie
recently found that
adventuring on her mountain
bike added a whole new
dimension to life on two wheels.
A couple of overnight bivvy
trips soon had her cooking
up plans for something more
challenging. With a set of
borrowed bike panniers, she
abandoned her car and rolled
her bike onto a ferry set for
the Outer Hebrides. Her goal
was to complete the southern
half of the Hebridean Way. The
final tally of miles equated to
the full Hebridean Way and
left her with a thirst for more.
