months writing features for
the likes of TGO and Trail,
as well as routes for Country
Walking and Lakeland Walker. He
has also completed a lecture tour
of Ireland, in partnership with
Mountaineering Ireland. But all
of this has just been a distraction
from the main excitement in
James’ career. His debut book
Mountain Man: 446 Mountains.
Six months. One record-breaking
adventure (published by Conway,
an imprint of Bloomsbury) will be
available from 2 May, and will be
accompanied by a series of talks.
