Chiz Dakin Peak perfomance C hiz Dakin’s Cycling in the Peak District Guidebook has been newly revised and the second edition is about to hit the bookshops in a couple of weeks (15th July). It features new maps (which are clearer and easier to use) and road versions for all medium and harder routes (including the flagship Tour de Peak District multi-day route). The routes have also gained some tweaks too - some new bits of linking cycleways have been built since the first edition, and now canal towpaths have become legal for cyclists to use (without that annoying permit!) a few sections of towpath have made their way into some routes. The routes are ideal for gravel and hybrid bikes, but the inclusion of road alternatives means that all cyclists will find options to enjoy across the whole of the Peak District!
