o sooner had Paddy
Dillon’s latest
guidebook Trekking
in Mallorca been
published, than he
was back on the island
working on a new guidebook
covering the Mountains of Mallorca.
The island is huge and the
mountains are extensive, and a
halt to explorations was called
after six weeks.
Despite Paddy’s knowledge
and experience, gained through
previous visits over the past dozen
years, he still managed to find
plenty of new ground to cover. In
fact, he might be able to claim the
first ascent, by a foreigner, of Puig
de n’Ali. The mountain doesn’t
appear in guidebooks (yet) and the
summit visitor book only records
the names of Mallorcan climbers.
