RONALD TURNBULL
Southern Upland Way rises again
T
he OWPG’s membership
secretary Ronald Turnbull has
been spending the Autumn
revisiting the Southern Upland
Way (which runs past his own home),
revising and rewriting its guidebook in
advance of a relaunch of the route this
coming summer. As well as the new
guidebook from Cicerone Press
(www.cicerone.co.uk), it’s getting a new
Harvey (www.harveymaps.co.uk) strip
map, a new intereactive website and a
whole new high-level section across the
Ettrick Hills. It’s time to take another
look at Scotland’s toughest, longest
and loneliest waymarked way.
