It's time to find your voice and express your true potential for the greater good. One by one women are igniting change in governments, in businesses, in economies, and ultimately, society. Robbin Jorgensen, Founder and CEO of Women Igniting Change®, started her organization to unleash the contribution of women around the world.
Robbin ended her long and successful career in the corporate world to give birth to her desire to make a difference. She wanted to help women by creating opportunities for them to awaken, transform and cultivate the courage in themselves to affect positive change in the world. Jorgensen sees the courage of women "rising up" everywhere, both in the West and in developing countries like Uganda and Rwanda.
More and more, women aren't willing to be defined by outdated rules. Those that were passed down by our ancestors, rules that fed us definitions for every aspect of our existence: on
who to be, what to do, how to live. By growing our awareness, we're starting to question what holds us back. We start to see we can make our own rules and finally unleash the power and potential that is in us. It is Robbin's firm belief that when a woman becomes the fullest expression of who she is, she can change the world, solving the pressing global challenges of our time in collaboration with other women and men.
Women Igniting Change® offers strategic consulting and leadership programs to large organizations aimed at helping them fully leverage the potential of their women leaders. Other projects in developing countries are funded by their Foundation, that focuses on advocacy, education, empowerment, entrepreneurship, gender equality, human trafficking,
leadership, reproductive rights and violence against women. As the U.S. Ambassador for AVEGA Agahozo in Rwanda, Robbin visited the leading women in June last year to teach skills on business, entrepreneurship and leadership. She continues to be humbled by their strength, their resilience and their ability to forgive (read the whole story here).
Like these widows philosophy 'Unity Makes Strength', Robbin advocates banding and working together with other women and organizations to achieve something greater than ourselves.
