Karen has two passions: kids and books. Being a mother of six children, living in Australia, she loves her days. She loves doing work that doesn't feel like chores and having pajama days with her offspring. Karen, who is initially from Ireland, started writing by accident. She says: "I would never have found my passion for writing if I hadn't chosen to be a stay-at-home mom." Her first book was a book for her children, written at the kitchen table, to teach her youngsters about the dangerous spiders and snakes, etc. that lived in this new, warm country, far away from rainy Ireland. Just for fun, she wrote another ten, never intending to publish any of them. A big publisher in Australia is republishing her first children's book Australian Walk-About as we speak. She said that after having a miscarriage ten years ago, the idea of writing a book just popped into her head. She entered the NaNoWriMo contest, writing 50,000 words in one month, and she won. Karen was the readers' favorite with her first novel called ‘The Visitor'. Having surrendered to her calling, she now loves to help people to spread their message, encouraging men and women to start writing and publishing their book or books. To mentor them, Karen has started a special online academy called Make Magic Happen. She intends to publish 100 books this year. It's July, and she has already published 80.
