Money is a metaphor for our power

It's the process it takes to be financially successful and responsible to become who we have to become that gives us the power.

Barbara Stanny, wealth expert and author of Sacred Success, found this truth after being in denial of her own responsibility for 15 years of marriage with a man who gambled away almost all of her inheritance, leaving her with a tax bill of over one million dollars and three daughters. No one was going to save her. Her father would not lend her the money, and her husband took off to another country. At first, she was paralyzed by fear. All those years she'd trusted her husband to manage the finances because she was too scared and intimidated by money. But now she was forced to take responsibility. Slowly but surely, she found new ways to make money while growing her confidence by doing so.
This fear of money is something a lot of women can relate to. "Women have trouble making and managing money because they are ambivalent about or afraid of power. This fear of power is related to our fear of becoming who we really are. At one time in history, women were burned at the stake for speaking their mind and standing up for themselves," she says. Since science has proved that our genes do not only pass on our physical DNA but also embed social traumas, this is a plausible explanation for what women have felt for ages but never understood. Finding our own power and learning how to use it from a feminine perspective is the challenge we are facing now. Stanny believes the world is shifting into a new paradigm of partnership between powerful women and enlightened men that can heal the planet.

"Sacred Success is success that allows you to help others and create a meaningful life." B. Stanny

Her favorite quote by Eric Fröhm, "we do need to give birth to ourselves first to become what we actually are," embodies Barbara's dedication to educating women on money for she's convinced this is the ultimate reason for creating wealth. "Money is a tool for transformation. Ask yourself: How can I make a difference with money? It will increase your choices, improve your circumstances, enable you to follow your calling, help those you love and turn this planet into a better place. If you start with a profit motive but give up profit as your primary goal, profit will no longer be the goal; greatness will."

Obey the Law of Ownership

Greatness requires that we:
* Own our worth
* Own our power
* Own our talent
* Own our truth
* Own our failures

It truly is your duty to find your voice and inspire others to find theirs.

Facing your fears is what brings you closer to greatness day by day. "When one of my daughters calls me for advice, I always ask them: 'What are you the most afraid of?' They'll tell me, and I will say: 'Do that!'"

Success is an inside job
"Seeking fame and fortune is the quest for external validation to fill in an internal void; it's like living on credit, pretend illusion, hiding lack and deprivation. Greatness, on the other hand, is the pursuit of meaning and impact, living a life to the fullest while leaving a legacy for the world." This quote by Barbara defines so clearly that true success is an inside job. It's the quest to know who you are, to know what you want, and to know how to express this in the world unapologetically, as she writes in her book, Sacred Success. This book is a must-read for every woman.

Educate Yourself Around Money
Being broke doesn't help you reach your purpose. Educate yourself on money. 1. Read about money every day, 2. Save money-at least a small amount, 3. Write down how you spend your money and categorize. Visit the website barbarastanny.com

Podcast
In this podcast, Barbara is interviewed by Jennifer Cain, a young spiritual leader, who is on a journey to find a new paradigm for female leadership. She is creating a conversation about new ways for women to be and create as female leaders. She, like Ownit, believes when women are willing to be unapologetically true to their own voice and message, it ripples throughout the consciousness of the planet.

Things you need to know about Money & Power

Women, once they reach financial stability, are rarely motivated by money. Instead, they are motivated by helping others, the desire to play a bigger, more meaningful game.

A Powerful woman is a woman who knows who she is, who knows what she wants and knows how to express this in the world unapologetically.

Four principles for sacred success:
- Financial wellbeing
- Individuality
- Responsibility
- Love or fear

Three financial stages of financial development:
1. Survival state - not enough
2. Stability state - enough
3. Affluence - more than enough

Women make things happen by building relationships.
Men make things happen by asserting control.

Sacred Success is success that allows you to help others and create a meaningful life.
