Christie Rosen is a beautiful young lady, living in Sarasota, Florida, where she has her practice as a health coach, eating psychology coach, yoga instructor, and mind-body healer. She recently published the book "Empowering the Sensitive Soul," which is an excellent guide for people who want to take better care of their body, learn to accept themselves for who they are, and create a plan to be in the world with confidence. Suffering from extreme fatigue and allergies at a young age, she visited all kinds of doctors, who could not help her find the cause of her ill health. Christie says: "Most of them replied that I looked quite healthy to them, but the problem was that I did not feel healthy. It didn’t seem like they were taking my concerns seriously." After taking the traditional western medical path, she started exploring yoga, acupuncture, and other alternative therapies. Those methods were helping, but they did not bring her to the level of well-being she knew was possible. She came to realize it was her innate sensitivity that made her ill. This may sound like a bad thing, but as the smart woman she is, Christie managed to turn her world around learning to view her sensitivity as a gift. For example, her body is warning her of toxic chemicals, unhealthy foods or negative energy from people. When she looked at it that way, she realized that she was blessed with her gift of sensitivity. It did not always feel like that, though. "People tend to put you in a box, thinking you are just making a fuss because they don't experience all of the sensations you are experiencing. Rather than try to understand, they simply write you off as ‘too sensitive,’" she replies. Christie learned to trust herself first, cultivate an unconditional love for herself, let go of limiting thought patterns, and embrace her sensitivity. This path led her to grow into a strong, empowered, and confidently sensitive person.
