INTERNATIONAL OVERTURES W ith 106 musicians, 5 flights and more than 3 tons of cargo, the BSO traveled to Ireland and the United Kingdom in August for its first international tour in 13 years. Performing in Edinburgh, London and Dublin, including debut concerts at the Edinburgh International Festival and the BBC Proms, the Orchestra spent nine days taking in the sights and sounds and representing Baltimore and the State of Maryland on the global stage. 8 OV E R T U R E
