Wordsmith
Wordsmith is the
worldwide movement
based out of Baltimore,
MD, with the mission
to entertain and educate
through a message of purpose and to relate
that message through clean, quality and
marketable music for the masses.
Wordsmith earned a full athletic
scholarship to play football at Morgan
State University followed by a degree in
theater arts. The emcee from Baltimore
looks to represent his city on national
and international stages with his
conscious-commercial hip-hop and
theatrical stage shows.
Making great strides in the independent
music scene, Wordsmith was accepted
into the Grammy® voting committee
due to his numerous songwriting credits
over the years. His label, NU Revolution
Entertainment, received the 2017 Best of
Baltimore Award in the musician category.
Other major accomplishments include a
live interview and performance on Fox45
Baltimore; the debut of “We Do It Better”
as the official theme song for WWE
superstar Bianca Belair; “Never be the
Same,” featured in the Emmy® Award-
winning Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy
Schmidt; a tour of Africa and Israel for his
American Music Abroad Tour; featured
music at Red Bull’s BC One World Final;
and a spread in The Baltimore Sun’s “Fall
Arts Guide.”
Wordsmith has developed corporate
approval through the licensing of over 30
songs for film, television, internet video,
video games and advertisement purposes
with companies like NFL Network, CBS,
NBC, Fox, Style, Bravo, Nintendo Wii and
many more. Recent ad placements include
Wordsmith’s “Happy Hour the Universal
Blackout” used in a Kicks promotional
ad and providing the soundtrack to the
documentary Roadtrip Nation: Ready to
Rise. Other placements include “We Do It
Better,” featured in Red Bull’s Street Skating
