Patrick M. Green
“ I decided to include the BSO in my estate plans because it is a world-class orchestra and I want others to enjoy this great music for many more decades— including the next 100 years!”
The eldest of 12 children, Patrick Green was born in Dixon, Illinois and began his love of music through piano lessons from ages 9 to 12, playing on his grandmother’ s piano. After earning a Business Administration degree from St. Mary’ s University in Minnesota, he received a post-graduate degree in Theology and a Master’ s in Psychology from Catholic University in Washington, D. C., where he developed a lifelong appreciation for classical music.
Mr. Green soon applied his business acumen and counseling skills to a 30-year career in business consulting as president of Patrick M. Green and Associates, focusing on human resources, marketing and affordable housing for military personnel and university students, while continuing to provide pastoral counseling to individuals and groups. His love of music continues to be a central part of his life as a long-time subscriber to the BSO, Annapolis Symphony, Kennedy Center and other arts organizations throughout the region. In addition Mr. Green enjoys being active through ballroom and swing dancing.
When Mr. Green learned about the BSO’ s Centennial Challenge to secure 100 new estate gifts by the end of the Centennial year 2016, he wanted to help the BSO meet its goal. He notes,“ I decided to include the BSO in my estate plans because it is a world-class orchestra and I want others to enjoy this great music for many more decades— including the next 100 years!”
