Mozart composed his Grand Mass in C minor in 17821783 to fulfill a promise to his beloved Constanze
before they were married. Join us for this uncommon
testament to the composer’s genius.
Recently discovered among his archives, Benjamin
Britten’s Two Psalms were written while the composer
was studying at the Royal College of Music in
London. They were never performed during the
composer’s lifetime and were finally premiered in
2012 by the Oxford Bach Choir and English
Chamber Orchestra. The City Choir
of Washington is presenting the U.S.
premiere of this work as part of the
worldwide “Britten 100” celebration.
Tickets $15-$50. Senior and Student discounts
available. Don’t miss this important Britten premiere!

This concert is given
in memory of Amy Antonelli.
