Gustav Mahler’s “Titan” was premiered at the Vigadó Concert Hall in Budapest in
1889, but was originally not well received. Mahler made some major revisions for the second
performance in Hamburg in October 1893. Further alterations were made in late 1898.

BSO Music Director Marin Alsop performs
with the OrchKids at the Rotunda.
On January 17, Baltimore City Mayor
Stephanie Rawlings-Blake hosted an
event at the Rotunda at City Hall to
celebrate the recent accomplishments
of the BSO’s OrchKids™ program. The
Mayor also presented OrchKids with a
Certificate of Achievement in recognition of its ability to promote measurable
academic and social change.
