DAY 6 • Valley of the Kings • Luxor Temple Visit the Valley of the Kings . Explore the tomb of Tutankhamen , followed by a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut , built for Egypt ’ s first known female monarch . DAY 7 • Optional hot air balloon ride • Esna & Temple of Khnum • Begin Nile cruise Elect to rise early for an optional balloon ride over the Nile ’ s west bank . Then , drive to Esna to visit the Temple of Khnum before embarking our Nile river-yacht and begin the romantic journey along the Nile . DAY 8 • Edfu • Edfu Temple Cruise to Edfu , home to the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt . Then , visit the Temple of Horus , dedicated to the falcon-headed god . DAY 9 • A Day in the Life of Besaw Island • Gebel Silsila Temple & Quarries Cruise to Besaw Island for our NEW A Day in the Life experience with a local farmer and learn about life in this isolated agricultural community . After a conversation about education for girls living on the island , stroll through his fields and enjoy lunch with the farmer and his family .
