DAY 5 • Fishguard, Wales • St. Davids • Home-Hosted Lunch Cruise into Fishguard and drive to St. Davids, the ecclesiastical capital of Wales, where you’ ll visit the medieval cathedral named after the country’ s patron saint. DAY 6 • Holyhead • Caernarfon Castle • Wales’ Slate Heritage experience Dock in Holyhead, a seaport that has linked Wales and Ireland for 4,000 years. We’ ll visit Caernarfon Castle, a mighty fortress built by King Edward I in the 13th century. After enjoying lunch at a traditional pub, visit a slate mine before returning to the ship. DAY 7 • Isle of Man Arrive in the Isle of Man, which has the oldest continuously governing body in the world. Tour a few of the island’ s sights to learn about its history and culture, and visit a local sheep breeder to learn about the Manx Loaghtan, a rare breed that is native to the region. DAY 8 • Belfast, Northern Ireland • Taxi tour • Whiskey distillery visit • Controversial Topic: The Troubles Explore Belfast by taxi. Get a personal look at the city as our drivers share their view on the city’ s political and religious divides. Later, visit a whiskey distillery. Then, engage in a Controversial Topic about The Troubles with two local men who experienced it firsthand— while fighting on opposing sides of the conflict. Meals: B, L, D | M / V Corinthian
DAY 9 • The Antrim Coast • Giant’ s Causeway We’ ll enjoy a scenic drive through the glens of the Antrim Coast, taking in the diverse landscapes that include glacial valleys, grassy cliffs, dense woods, and quaint villages. Then drive to the Giant’ s Causeway( a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a curious landscape formed by volcanic eruptions dating back millions of years.
