DAY 9 • Harlingen • Home-Hosted Visit Dock in Harlingen for a walking tour of this charming seaside harbor, ending at a small bakery to try a traditional Dutch pastry and spend time chatting with the owner. Later, we’ ll split into smaller groups and join local families for a Home-Hosted Visit. Harlingen is far off the Netherlands’ well-trod tourist track, so you’ ll get an authentic sense of what local life is like during your visit.

DAY 10 • Kiel Passage, Germany • At sea Enjoy a leisurely day aboard the M / V Clio as you cruise from the Wadden Sea to the Baltic Sea via the Kiel Canal.

DAY 11 • Kerteminde • Ladbyskibet Viking Museum • Odense
Spend the morning touring the lovely seaside town of Kerteminde, and learn about Denmark’ s Viking past on a visit to the Ladbyskibet Viking Museum. Later, visit Odense, the birthplace of legendary author Hans Christian Andersen, where we’ ll delve into this literary legacy on a tour of a museum dedicated to him. Tonight enjoy a Captain’ s Farewell Dinner.

DAY 12 • Disembark ship • Copenhagen Disembark the ship and set off to discover Copenhagen. We’ ll visit several iconic landmarks, including the Gelfion Fountain; the Little Mermaid statue; Tivoli Garden; and Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish
Parliament. After lunch, the remainder of the day is free for your own discoveries before our Farewell Dinner.

DAY 13 • Return to U. S. Fly to the U. S., or begin your Faroe Islands post-trip extension.
