DAY 1 • Depart U. S. Depart the U. S. for Zagreb, Croatia.
DAY 2 • Zagreb, Croatia You’ ll be met at the Zagreb airport and assisted to your hotel. If you began your explorations early with our optional Slovenia: Ljubljana’ s Old World Charm pre-trip extension, you will join the main group today.

DAY 3 • Zagreb Set out on a city tour of Zagreb. Walk to the Square of Ban Jelacic( Trg Bana Jelacica) and take in landmarks of the medieval Upper Town( Gornji Grad). A Welcome Dinner is included at a local restaurant tonight.

DAY 4 • Zagreb • Zadar • Embark ship Travel to the Adriatic coast to embark your small ship. Settle into your cabin and get acquainted with the ship’ s inviting common areas before embarking on a walking tour of Zadar. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Drink with your fellow travelers, followed by your Captain’ s Welcome Dinner.

DAY 5 • Zadar • A Day in the Life of a Croatian village
Enjoy our A Day in the Life experience when we split into smaller groups to visit one of two Croatian villages— the village of Sopot, or an agricultural estate in the Ravni Kotari countryside. In both locations, we’ ll immerse ourselves in the day-to-day lives of a tight-knit rural Croatian community to enhance our understanding of local culture.

DAY 6 • Split Discover the Imperial Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian in Split. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the greatest Roman ruin in southeastern Europe. The entire old section of Split, with the palace as its centerpiece, is a virtual open-air museum with the city’ s contemporary life bustling through it.

DAY 7 • Hvar & Vrboska • Dubrovnik Cruise to Hvar and tour this verdant, peaceful island blanketed in pine— an up-and-coming hotspot for rich and famous visitors from around the world. Next, visit the quaint seaside village of Vrboska. Embark on a short walk with a local guide, ending at a small, family-owned winery, where we’ ll enjoy a tasting. Our discoveries conclude with a scenic drive back to our ship.

DAY 8 • Dubrovnik • Controversial Topic: The siege of Dubrovnik • Gromača village • Home- Hosted Dinner
Explore the medieval city of Dubrovnik, set on a peninsula jutting into the Adriatic Sea, with a tour including the Rector’ s Palace, a Franciscan monastery
housing one of Europe’ s oldest pharmacies. After, learn about a Controversial Topic of the seven-month siege of Dubrovnik in 1991. Later, experience Gromača— a village near Dubrovnik— and a Home-Hosted Dinner.

DAY 9 • Dubrovnik • Optional Ston tour Take time to discover more of Dubrovnik at your own pace today, enjoying lunch onboard. Or, join an optional tour to Ston, which includes a visit to the local salt pans and a family-owned winery, and concludes with an oyster tasting.
