DAY 11 • Explore Portoferraio, Elba, Italy • Home-Hosted Lunch
Disembark on Elba, a UNESCO-protected island, that was once part of a larger stretch of land that connected Italy to Corsica. We’ ll take a discovery walk of Portoferraio, the island’ s main port. Then, sit down to an Italian meal during a Home-Hosted Lunch with a local island family.

DAY 12 • Elba Enjoy a panoramic bus tour of Elba Island, a captivating gem in the Mediterranean. The rest of the afternoon is free as your ship sails for Porto Santo Stefano.

DAY 13 • Giglio Island Catch a brief ferry to Giglio Island, one of the seven islands that make up the Tuscan Archipelago National
Park. After a discovery walk, depart for the village of Castello, perched on a hill overlooking the archipelago.

DAY 14 • Disembark ship • Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno • Rome
Disembark our ship and transfer to Rome, making a stop in Nettuno to visit the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery.

DAY 15 • Explore Rome Discover the“ Eternal City,” and the myriad treasures it has amassed over more than two and a half millennia. Here, you’ ll embark on a walking tour featuring many of the city’ s highlights, from the Pantheon to the Spanish Steps. Then witness one of the most iconic fountains in the world, the Trevi Fountain, built in 1762 upon the site
of an ancient Roman aqueduct. Later, explore Rome at your leisure.

DAY 16 • Rome • Optional pasta & tiramisu making lesson
Explore Rome on your own, or join our optional tour to a local cooking school for a hands-on lesson in preparing two iconic Italian dishes— pasta and tiramisu. Enjoy a shared meal at the end of your optional tour.

DAY 17 • Return to U. S. Fly to the U. S., or begin your post-trip extension to Central Italy: Hilltop Villages of the Apennine Mountains.
