DAY 9 • A Day in the Life of Izcuchaca & Chinchero villages • GCF visit: Cruzpata School
Begin our A Day in the Life discoveries in Izcuchaca, where we’ ll visit a local market. Then, ascend into the nearby mountains to enjoy Chinchero village, where we’ ll visit a local elementary school( when in session)
ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHT supported by Grand Circle Foundation. Later, share lunch with the Chinchero community before heading to a local weaving cooperative, where we’ ll meet local women who create complex patterns in colorful cloth as their ancestors have for centuries.

DAY 10 • Southern Valley of Cuzco • Sacsayhuaman & Qenqo
Head south from Cuzco to Tipon, the site of ancient Incan waterworks that still function 500 years after
their construction. Then, drive into the hills near Cuzco to visit the massive Sacsayhuaman fortress, which the Incas built from huge stones weighing up to 300 tons. Then, witness Qenqo, an Incan worship site which also displays impressive stonework. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 11 • Cuzco • Lima • Return to U. S. Your morning is free in Cuzco for making final discoveries. Then, fly to Lima, and connect to your overnight flight back to the U. S. Or, begin your posttrip extension to Southern Peru: Lake Titicaca’ s Sacred Landscape & Highland Culture.
