THE NAVAL WAR COLLEGE serves as a surface facility for Flotilla 014-02-06 Sandy Hook Division . It has escorted the parade of ships during fleet week into New York Harbor and serves as a catalyst for crew members and Auxiliary trainees to get their sea legs .

The owner , Joe Ruffini also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family aboard his vessel . Docked at the Oceanport Landing Marina , Oceanport NJ , the Admirals Barge meets current U . S . Coast Guard standards . Ruffini envisions that when he retires from his regular job as a roofer , he plans on spending his days living aboard the Naval War College full-time .

CONSTRUCTED at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard , the design of the Cuer was modeled in accordance to the plans of a fifty-foot Standard Area Command Cuer . An object of refinement , the framework of the vessel is oak covered with doubleplanked yellow Alaskan cedar sides and teak decks . Mahogany paneling and trim make up the interior rooms and the handcrafted helm . The salon siing areas are well-appointed with luxurious linens and detailed antique furnishings . Built with windows low enough to see out comfortably allows ample light to filter in from all directions , keeping the barge warm and comfortable .
