DSO-PB Comments

Page 6 of this issue shares a flyer called "Let's Stay Engaged". The links within this flyer take you to various Auxiliary training websites to complete mandatory and elective Coast Guard Auxiliary and FEMA courses.

Prior to Covid-19, we were able to attend the Leadership Conference at the Coast Guard Academy, D-Train in Rhode Island, and the New York Boat Show in January mentioned in this edition. Since then we have been on pause, however, our D1SR Food Service team has stepped up to the plate and have generously shared their recipes for our enjoyment and a chance to try our own skills at cooking during this time.

Thanks to Bert Ongkeno SO-FS and his graphic design skills, he provided a new logo for OTB called "COASTIES DINER". Please proceed to this special article next in this publication. On the article's Menu (Page 38) , you can click on each dish to be taken directly to its recipe, or, you can browse through all the recipes starting on Page 40. You can even print any recipe from the page of interest to you. Enjoy and Let's Stay Engaged!

Thank you to the ADSO-PB team and our leadership for your continuing support to present the outstanding efforts of our fellow Auxiliarists in First Southern District. More to be revealed in the next issue of Over The Bow.

Respectfully,

Welcome to this Special Edition of

Over The Bow

This edition of Over The Bow is a special tribute to all members of D1SR as we experience together this difficult time and unprecedented beginning of the annual boating season. Our stories are about teamwork, compassion and our dedication as the uniformed volunteer arm of the United States Coast Guard.
