Fellow Auxiliarist Jim Losi, whom I have known since we went to grammar school (and high school and college) together, and I sailed on the USCGC Eagle this past August. We left New York harbor at midday on the 19th, sailed out into the North Atlantic well beyond the sight of land, and made landfall at the New London dock under Fort Trumbull late morning on the 21st. CAPT Turdo and his crew could not have been more welcoming and engaging with us.
