When the next day arrived Auxiliarists were on scene well before sunrise to serve a hot breakfast. Newly qualified member, Monica Couillard, and trainees Robert Dellon and Donna Przychodzki of Division 10 made fresh blueberry pancakes for 150 hungry cadets and crew.

Later the team made a hot lunch for the 60 people on the duty section and our fellow Auxiliarists doing PA duty.

For both the breakfast and midday meal the FS team worked unsupervised with the complete confidence of the Chief that we could handle the job. This is a real testament to the quality of our FS team.

We are just starting our long voyage to provide essential and valuable support to the cutters of our district. We will continue to train people, build confidence in the program among our active duty community and provide for the crews the kind of support that builds morale and enhances mission effectiveness.

To do this of course we need more people who can bring their culinary skills to bear and who can give us some extended time to be on board a ship for four days or more. Please be in touch if you are interested.

We need you.
