Manhattan, while 57 Auxiliarists from D1SR stood watch and presented tours to visitors, allowing active duty Coast Guard liberty in New York City. The team of Auxiliarists, led tours while enlightening visitors about Eagles's origin, general characteristics such as the sail plan, sail area, and missions and capabilities of the United States Coast Guard. The Commodore's Own Coast Guard Auxiliary Band from Long Island entertained visitors with a concert.

USCGC Barque Eagle was commissioned 15 May 1946. Its home port is New London, Connecticut, and it's nicknamed "America's Tall Ship".

I
