Local Auxiliarist Appointed to National Deployment Position

David Alexandre, a member of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 24, was recently named Branch Chief-Atlantic Deployment, an Auxiliary National Staff Position in the International Directorate.

Alexandre will be responsible for the support of Auxiliary Interpreters and International Affairs personnel before, during and after overseas deployments. This includes ensuring interpreters and other International Affairs personnel selected for duty meet all requirements for overseas deployment. He is also responsible for the processing of proper military orders including funding by the requesting agency or military unit. Alexandre will be communicating with the responsible Coast Guard Area Command to advise them of the ongoing status of deployed personnel and providing support as needed while on deployment.

Upon deployment completion, Alexandre oversees the reimbursement for expenses process, sees to it that all paperwork required for proper recording of the deployment is completed and After Action Reports are submitted.
