M/V Alibi
On August 11, 2018, the Auxiliary crew came upon two grounded vessels. One, M/V Alibi, was in the act of grounding despite being pursued by 251384 with whistle blaring and hails being ignored on channel 16. The crew of 251384 worked with Station Shinnecock to ensure that all were safe on an earlier grounded vessel until the tide returned to allow SeaTow to take them in tow. M/V Alibi backed off the shoal with severe damage to the running gear.
