Award presented to Karen Wagner by First District Commander Rear Admiral Tiongson with D1 Command Master Chief Master William Hollandsworth
Mrs. Karen Wagner was commended for her superior service and outstanding contributions to the First Coast Guard District, Boston Massachusetts, April 2003 to July 2018. During her tenure are the Auxiliary Affairs Assistant for the First District Auxiliary Southern Region, she demonstrated sustained performance of the highest quality and routinely went above and beyond assigned responsibilities overseeing the administrative management of over 3100 Auxiliary members. Displaying exceptional responsibility, she served as the sole First District Southern Region Trusted Agent issuing over 100 Auxiliary Logical Access Cards to to Auxiliarists who required access to the Coast Guard Network. Further, she provided invaluable support to our National Security conducting extensive security checks for thousands of prospective Auxiliary members during her 15 years of service. Mrs. Wagner's diligence, perseverance, and devotion to duty are most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Coast Guard. She will be sorely missed by the members of the Director's Staff as well as the over 3,000 Auxiliary members she assisted. Karen and her family have relocated to Ohio.
