Shanna Marzilli is president and CEO of Plan International USA, leading the organization’ s work to advance children’ s rights and equality for girls worldwide. Plan works in more than eighty countries to remove barriers to education, protection and opportunity for children affected by poverty, conflict and discrimination.
With a background in health policy and global development, Marzilli has guided the organization through a period of change, strengthening partnerships, shaping research-informed advocacy and ensuring girls have a voice in decisions that affect their lives. She previously served as Plan International USA’ s chief operating officer and chief marketing officer, overseeing organizational strategy, fundraising and brand growth.
A longtime Rhode Island resident, Marzilli is a graduate of Providence College and a proud mother of three daughters. She is committed to building a more equitable future for the next generation, locally and globally.
