Marie Pellegrino makes history as the first female president of BayCoast Bank, marking a defining milestone as the respected financial institution enters its 175th year of service to the people and businesses of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
Pellegrino, who was promoted to her new position in December, manages the BayCoast organization and its comprehensive family of financial solutions, helping customers achieve their banking, lending, insurance and wealth management goals through the bank’ s wholly owned subsidiaries: BayCoast Mortgage, BayCoast Insurance, Plimoth Investment Advisors and Priority Funding.
Pellegrino brings a wealth of financial knowledge, expertise and outstanding leadership to her position. She began her finance career with a strong foundation in health care administration and accounting. In 2000, she transitioned to the banking industry with employment at local financial institutions, joining BayCoast Bank in 2013, where she has earned numerous promotions during her tenure.
Pellegrino’ s impressive background includes a strong commitment to educational excellence. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Providence College and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers School of Financial Studies.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pellegrino is a devoted nature and animal enthusiast who cares about making an impact on our community. She volunteers for several local organizations and is currently a board member for the Watuppa Rowing Center and One SouthCoast Chamber.
