DR. MARY ANN SHALLCROSS SMITH & AMY VOGEL
Founder & CEO
Dr. Day Care Learning Center
After opening a family-based day care in 1972, Dr. Mary Ann Shallcross Smith became known as“ Dr. Day Care.” Today, the organization remains a family business at heart. Led by Mary Ann’ s daughter, Amy Vogel, Dr. Day Care is entering a new chapter with a new company name and logo.“ We’ re still the same people, with the same values and dedication,” says CEO Amy Vogel.“ Over time, we realized that the word‘ daycare’ no longer fully represents who we are or what happens in our classrooms each day. Our focus has always been on intentional learning, nurturing relationships, emotional development and helping children grow with confidence and curiosity. This rebrand simply allows our name to reflect the meaningful work happening every day.” The team is excited to share this next evolution with families and friends- more details coming soon!
