WHO DOES IT HELP? WHAT DOES IT DO?
Our charity helps feed poor families during the winter. It doesn't help specific people but helps the ones who rely on food from the Mississauga food bank.
WHY DID OUR CLASS CHOOSE THIS CHARITY?
Our class chose this charity because it was the most helpful action we could think of ; we would be helping the less privelged by donating the food that we don't eat. We also helped by donating the money we use to buy food that we want and don't really need. Most people usually take food for granted but people in poverty think of foood as a blessing.
WHAT DID OUR CLASS DO TO SUPPORT THIS CHARITY?
Our class donated dry food, cans and money. We used the money to buy cans and gave evrything to the Mississauga food bank. Altogether we donated $101.15 worth of cans. In March we were able to donate 229,000 meals for those in need.
