A photographer’s dream, Teahupoo is surreal. Its lush, mountainous background juxtaposed with its monstrous turquoise waves keeps the balance. Leaving just a few centimetres for the surfer to ride above the reef, it’s thrilling and it’s dangerous. Pure and pristine, the Tahitians take care of their Polynesian playground. Teahupoo’s surf spot is a must-see, and a must-surf, depending on how brave (or crazy) you are. PHOTO: franck seguin
