Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, David Jordan( Cicerone, 2025)
A monumental effort, David speaks through the pages of this guide with the authority of one of the few who has to count the number of times he has completed the trail on more than one finger. The text is littered with wisdom and advice such that even the casual trail walker will consider that this might just be possible( on the off-chance that you should find yourself in the US with several months to kill). Sublime pictures and excellent maps, teamed with some innovative packaging from Cicerone make this a very creditable publication.
