Values
Josephine Collingwood OWPG future creates barriers to maintain fear and privilege . These barriers have no place in a modern society . In any society . Let the OWPG have no barriers for diversity .
Inclusion is more than just invitation , more than integration . It is responding positively to diversity whilst not changing the diversity . Our membership will increase and diversify , and we shall be better for it .
Equality . This one has been around a lot longer , and its roots are deeper . This is not the place to write a missive on what equality actually means , I might not be able to stop ! It is a subject of immense importance to me personally . Suffice to say that the OWPG and its members must advocate equality , not just in outdoor media creation .
Our work with words and pictures must reflect the highest standards in the industry . If a piece of work is not as good as it could be , make it better . We can learn , aspire , practise and teach to produce work that stands out from others , and more importantly , from AI generated material .
As AI floods the world with its allpervading bland competence , only skilled practitioners of words and pictures will survive . Let us be amongst them .

To provide content creation , commissioning and representation to the highest standards .
Being honest and having strong moral principles : this is the one thing that can never be taken away from us , and it is the one thing that can define us . It should infuse all our work , in a perfect world . However , I do know that trying to make a living whilst pursuing perfection at the same time results in compromise . If that is the case , I ask how can that compromise be the best it can be ?

Many companies and associations create their own set of vision and values as much to tick boxes , as to establish good practice . It is my hope that we embrace these values individually and as a whole . This is my invitation to you all .
In the meantime , I hope to see you all again soon , whether online at a zoom , or in person at regional gatherings which I hope will increase in number . There might even be a Mr Whippy van there !
