As an inventor, author, stuntman, model, producer, tv host, actor, and philanthropist, he has worked hard for all the success in his life. Laird has also worked immensely hard on staying at the top and relevant in the surf world, even at age 53. Laird Hamilton’s name has become a global brand. Laird is known as a big wave legend and crossover waterman who has not stopped innovating; he helped make tow-in surf, stand up surf, stand up paddleboarding and hydrofoil boarding what they are today. Ham- ilton has an established clothing line and superfood line based around coffee, he also helped popularize the Golfboard, is a health and fitness guru, nutrition expert, and star of many surf films including a few of the most iconic surf films to date. Laird is married to beach volleyball champion and TV personality Gabrielle Reece, together they have three daughters. Hamilton is self professed adrenaline junkie who stands 6’3” and is a solid 215 pounds. Laird Hamilton is known as one of the most fit athletes alive today. The global brand continues to expand. Right now, the Superfood products can be found in the UK, South Africa, Australia, Mexico, Canada, and all over the US. Next are hotels and a deal has been struck with Delta Air- ways to have the product available in the member clubs at airports. American service men and women could also see the benefits. Hamilton wants to give a healthy, energy filled breakfast alternative to the active US forces. The num- ber is around 30 team members right now, but Laird Superfood could grow to 70 in the next year. A new 30,000 sq. ft. building is now under construction. This new building in Sisters industrial park will become the world headquarters for Laird Superfood. The facility will be the fulfilment center, logistics, packaging of all the products, sales, and marketing. There will also be a tasting room and a fitness center. Laird Hamilton shows no signs of slowing down. He wants to give back to more than just surfing. Presently, Laird has players from the NFL, NBA and endurance athletes seek- ing him out for his nutrition knowledge. In the bigger picture, Laird wants people to live healthier lives, he feels his products can be the gateway to a healthier lifestyle. His water, strength and flexibility workouts have kept him at the top of his game and he wants to share that with others. Face it, commercial coffee creamers are full of preservatives and bad oils.
