The 2019 Photo Issue

Last summer we tried our first “Photo Issue” and it was a huge success. People still talk about that issue
and it’s an awesome cover of Jonny Sisco airing over Tim Durtschi, shot by Pete Alport. It’s definitely one for
the collector’s quiver. There’s still copies of that issue around Bend and Oregon. Because of this success we
have decided to do it again for 2019. In this year’s version we have a few different photographers stepping in
and some of the staples like Alport, Hallman, Polay, and Schenk just to name a few. New this year is Pierce
Hodges, Ross Druckrey, Jules Jimreivat, Will Stevenson, and young guns Asa Silver and Caleb Ely.
I’ve had many conversations with photographers about the state of photography in this modern age of
technology. We mostly agree the current state is not in favor of the professional photographer. Even with that
knowledge there are so many incredible photographers who have contributed to the success of this publica-
tion. When BendOr Magazine changed to Outdoor Oregon these photographers elevated us to a whole new
level.
The 2019 Photo Issue is dedicated to all the photographers past, present, and future.
