Late in fiscal year 2018 as a result of a thorough analysis for cardiovascular volumes and projections, a sizeable expansion project was completed to add a new unit and increase the number of patient beds on the fifth floor of Building A on the campus of Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth. The addition of 25,816 square feet provided more rooms staffed with critical care nurses experienced in the care and treatment of cardiology patients. The sixth floor of Building A continues to house cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, including a hybrid lab, as well as pre- and post-procedure rooms, non- invasive services, Valve Disorders Center, and Heart Rhythm Center. “The services and care provided in 2019 by Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital - Fort Worth continued to bring tremendous benefit to the residents of Fort Worth, Tarrant County and the surrounding area. We experienced strong support from the medical community as the hospital’s cardiovascular services built on our reputation for excellence. All major services including cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous interventions, electrophysiology procedures, transcatheter valve procedures, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiac rehabilitation experienced increased volumes. The hospital continued to offer the only comprehensive structural heart program in Tarrant County. As a result, patients with complex cardiovascular diseases were able to access specialized diagnostic and treatment options from our physicians on the hospital’s medical staff. We expanded our research portfolio by bringing new clinical trials to the Fort Worth campus in fiscal year 2019. The hospital’s commitment to quality was demonstrated through recognition from the Joint Commission Chest Pain Certification, American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award, and more. And U.S. News & World Report rated the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center as one of the top Hospitals in DFW, and our Congestive Heart Failure program as High Performing for 2019-20. We are honored that physicians trust us with their patients and look forward to continuing to help improve the lives of patients who come to us for cardiac care.” – Mohan Sathyamoorthy, MD, FACC Chief of Staff and Chief of Cardiovascular Division, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth Medical Director of Cardiology, Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital - Fort Worth 51
