Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital - Fort Worth collaborates with Press Ganey Associates , Inc . to measure patient satisfaction across the patient experience continuum . The goal is to support patient satisfaction that reflects service excellence as those outcomes have a direct correlation to quality and safety outcomes . Patient satisfaction scores and comments are regularly reviewed by board of managers , hospital leadership , hospital care teams and medical staff in order to focus improvement efforts and monitor subsequent actions that reflect expected results and become hardwired as a standard of practice . Additionally , positive comments are shared with the team to recognize success and service excellence .

Key to the patient experience is the clinical team involved in the day-to-day operations and care for patients . The Fort Worth team has a high nursing retention and also includes a skilled team of acute care nurse practitioners who work closely with the cardiologist on the medical staff to provide very individualized cardiovascular care .

Rick Green was chosen as the hospital ’ s nominee to the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council ’ s regional Employee of the Year program . He has been an instrumental part of the team in Fort Worth and has experienced the tremendous growth in cardiovascular programs and services in the past few years . LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND
Expanding the learning opportunities in fiscal year 2018 , the medical staff and clinical team provided monthly cardiovascular in-services and education for the staff of Baylor Scott & White – Fort Worth , as well as for area EMS and first responders . Weekly , the cardiovascular team of sonographers led an Echocardiography Conference providing specific education through case reviews . The Valve Disorders Center ’ s meetings led by a multidisciplinary team of interventional cardiologists , cardiothoracic surgeons , imaging specialists and others are always open to any clinical team member on the Fort Worth campus .
