Throughout the past several years , together with , and on the campus of Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth , we ’ ve elevated accessibility for quality complex cardiovascular care in and around Tarrant County . In fact , this year , with the advancement of treatment options and as a result of the skill and dedication of the medical staff , the Fort Worth campus can report that it has the only comprehensive structural heart disease program in the Fort Worth area . The Valve Disorders Center was launched in mid-2017 and quickly reached a respectable volume . Through the expertise of the electrophysiology teams , referrals from all over North Central and West Texas occurred , growing the program into one of the largest volume programs for left atrial appendage ( LAA ) procedures in Tarrant County . Working closely with Baylor Scott & White – Fort Worth , we support growth in its cardiothoracic surgery program treating the most complex of heart patients . In fiscal year 2018 , the Mitral Valve Program was launched and is quickly leading the area for the minimally invasive treatment of mitral regurgitation . Together , our teams strive to provide each patient a seamless experience throughout the continuum of care , whether that be in Dallas or on the Fort Worth campus .
The national recognition for the physicians on our medical staff continues to grow as patients are being referred from across the country and even internationally . The research and clinical trials underway on the Dallas campus , and new this year in Fort Worth , often lead the nation as top-enrolling studies . We continually review our outcomes and look for opportunities to report the results . In many areas , we report volumes as there has been a volume / outcome relationship demonstrated for many cardiovascular treatments . Many of our interventional cardiology programs and vascular surgery programs have case volumes that rank in the top volume programs in the United States .
We support transparent public reporting of healthcare quality data . As such , we participate in many national registries and reporting entities and to name a few : The Joint Commission Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ( CMS ) Hospital Compare National Cardiovascular Data Registry ( NCDR ® ) Vascular Quality Initiative ( VQI ) Society for Thoracic Surgeons ( STS )

This year , at the time this book was nearing printing , we learned we once again received Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ( CMS ) 5-Star Rating , the highest rating , in overall Patient Satisfaction and also for Quality . We are proud of this accomplishment as less than 8 percent of the hospitals in the country achieved the 5-Star Quality Rating in this measurement time frame ending June 30 , 2018 .
