The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission ( IAC ) has granted accreditation to Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas ’ Non-Invasive Services echocardiography and vascular testing programs . The IAC accreditation acknowledges the hospital ’ s provision of quality patient care in compliance with national standards through a comprehensive application process , including detailed case study review . An ongoing goal of the hospital is to exceed national standards and encourage the IAC to continuously evaluate national standards .
The leadership and staff in the department are also actively involved in elevating the profession , working on nationwide projects to standardize the roles for advanced cardiac sonographers and improve processes and patient experience .
