“ It is again my privilege to write on behalf of the Board of Managers of Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital. Baylor Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital continues its critical role as a nationally-recognized specialty hospital dedicated to research and innovation. Tangible recognitions confirm that which those giving and those receiving care instinctively know. Fiscal year 2017 was a successful continuation of our patientcentered focus. The rigorous Joint Commission survey occurred. Again, accreditation was achieved. The American Nurses Credentialing Center( ANCC) visited the hospital with a panel of surveyors and granted Magnet ® Recognition for the third consecutive time. Press Ganey ® patient satisfaction scores led to yet another celebrated Guardian of Excellence Award this past year. We are blessed to work closely with Baylor University Medical Center and be a part of the Baylor Scott & White Health system and work every day to fulfill our mission.
These are challenging times for healthcare delivery systems. Pressures radiate to the very front lines of patient care, yet these and other exemplary outcomes are testimony to a strong collaborative group of medical staff and operations team members. While the future for healthcare delivery systems across the nation may be tumultuous, on behalf of the Board of Managers, I am confident that the entire team will continue this extraordinary tradition of excellence in cardiovascular care.”
