INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH
Embodying the true value of servanthood, care provided by cardiac surgeons on the medical staff reaches beyond the
hospital walls. Physicians travel internationally to participate in mission work, offering their services to areas in need.
Along with providing free-of-cost procedures to patients, surgeons on the medical staff proctor medical teams in
underdeveloped areas with the hopes to increase quality of care for patients all over the world.
Cardiac surgeons on the medical staff at Baylor Dallas travel internationally to participate in the early stages of clinical
trials and research. Participating physicians are able to study advanced treatment options and later have the ability to
bring the treatment to the United States during clinical trials. As a result, Baylor Dallas patients may receive access to
advanced trials before most facilities in the nation.
