22  |  OutBoise Magazine  | NEWS 22 Samuel: Hey Big Dipper, great to talk to you again... How's it going? Big Dipper: I'm doing really well. I just moved to Los Angeles, working on new music, and gearing up for summer. S: How are you liking the West Coast so far? BD: I love it! It's always warm and mostly sunny. Things move slower out here which is cool, but definitely an adjustment from NYC. I'm still only a few months in, and I've been on the road most of that time, but I'm really excited to get settled. S: So how is 2016 treating you so far? 2016 has been pretty cute...big year of transition for me. I moved, toured Australia for Mardi Gras with my friends from (the party) Swagger Like Us (SF), starting doing Yoga, got my Instagram deleted accidentally and then got it turned back on (phew) and THE NEW BEYONCE CAME OUT! S: Yeah it did! BD: I know it just happened, but it coincided with all this work I'm doing on my new music projects where I'm working on being more honest and vulnerable and real. Much less whacky and charactery and more just myself expressing my experience thru my lyrics. I'm learning that I can be raunchy, funny, honest, emotional, and true all in the same song. I really connected with Beyoncé's vulnerability. OutBoisemag.com | Issue 20 | June 2016 Photo: Dusti Cunningham
