Your Family, Friends, & Neighbors
are just that- average citizens
dedicated to promoting human
rights for gay and lesbian people, and

By 1991, the celebration grew even
further, moving from their original location

location for Pride for many years, before
eventually relocating to Ann Morrison
Park.
What does belonging to Your
Family, Friends, & Neighbors mean?
Membership shows an

Membership acknowledges the

chemical dependency.
ns
Membership affln that all people
should have the right to live, to love,

sexual or aff ctional orientation.
e

statement of caring and concern by
both gays and non-gays about the
rights and dreams of people to be
treated fairly, honestly, and without
In 1997 Ellen Degeneres came out publicly on her sitcom. Several Idaho TV stations refused to air the episode. It gave
