Welcome Back
We’re proud to bring you the first issue of OutBoise Magazine for 205!
This project has been such an amazing journey, and we have a lot of
great people involved.
2014 was filled with many ups and downs, but we ended the year on
a high note with the ruling in favor of same-sex marriage.
We still have a long battle ahead, though, with the governor still
spending as much time as he can defending a law he believes is right.
We need to stand together and show, not only that we deserve equal
rights, but that we are a solid community, as well.
This magazine may be new to the community, but we stand behind
the idea that our community deserves better. And we don’t discriminate against anyone.
We’re heading into a new year, which means resolution time. My
best recommendation for all of you is not to get rid of something in
your life. Instead, work on adding something. Try new things. Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself or
someone else. Do the right thing without expecting somehing in return. Don’t be afraid to make new
friends. Join a community organization, or volunteer your time where an organization needs help. Find
a cause that helps everyone, and stick with it. Dump the negativity from your life, and we can all work
to help make Boise, the Treasure Valley, and the entire state of Idaho a better place to live.
Now that we have that out of the way, I hope you enjoy this edition of OutBoise Magazine. If this
is the first edition you’ve come across, we would recommend stopping by our website or our mobile
app to read our other editions.
Thank you,
Gary Simpson
