Both have featured their art at the Queer Art show at the Lucky Dog Tavern, and they are constantly working on new pieces. Wen asked what he would be doing if he wasn’t doing art, Brandon said “That’s a hard question to answer because I honestly don’t know what or who I would be without some sort of creative aspect to my life.” As for how they work together, as artists, and as a couple, Brandon offered us a little insight: “We’re both super creative and mostly try to motivate each other to do better or do more. We’ve never gotten competitive because we’re both supportive and encouraging to each other, which I believe is a better atmosphere when it comes to putting your emotions on a canvas or any other media type. And when it comes to collaboration we haven’t done a lot together except for a few here and there. But we do give each other pointers and help each other out when needed. We actually make a great team, we help each other grow as artists and as human beings.” Both artists plan on submitting a piece to ALPHA’s “Forever Red” event on May 1st. “I love the fact that I’m helping out alpha. It’s such a good organization that helps a lot of people out. We are a community and that’s what we are supposed to do help each other.” Brian said. OutBoisemag.com | Issue 18 | April 2016 Love & Art
