A recent transplant to Boise, I discovered
Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria while
exploring downtown. It was the dinner rush,
but staff was friendly and prompt, and the
food itself had plenty of flavor and quality
ingredients. Unfortunately the crust itself
was a bit under done, even though it took a
while to come out. While waiting for my meal
to come out I perused the menu and saw
that they had a great
sounding lunch special,

so I resolved to come back and check it out.
I came back a couple weeks later with a
friend and went with the Pick Two lunch
special ($10.50), choosing a custom Basil
Alfredo pizzetta & the classic Caesar salad
(dressing on the side). Our waitress was
attentive & friendly, keeping our beverages
filled and making sure we had everything we
needed.
The food came out promptly and was

fantastic. The salad was crisp, the croutons
provided the perfect crunch. I did not add
the dressing and frankly did not need to, the
profile was a great balance and good
appetizer to start the meal. When I started
on the pizzetta I noticed immediately that
the basil was fresh & flavorful, while the
cheese was perfectly melted to provide a
gooey counter balance to the crisp
wood-fired crust. Unlike my dinner
experience, the crust here was baked to
perfection.
After all was said and done - this was more
than enough food for the value, and I highly
recommend it to anyone needing a great
lunch during the week.
