Our Writing Pieces | Page 20

For many of us, this is a year of " last"s . Our last years in this place we've come to see as a second home, the place we spend 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, 2080 hours a year in, for almost 16 years now. Our last winter trying to make the heaters work, our last year wearing a uniform. our last year with the teachers we have learned to respect and even care about. Our last year having school schedule, having platform homework and breaks.

Our last year belonging to our school where we have grown and learned so much, to the school that gave us so much.

The change is huge, to say the least. Shared laughter, class discussions... We've been together through so much, with our agreements and differences, but we gone through them together.

But this is not a flask it is also a new year of "first" s. Our first

year in the university, our first time handling our own schedules,

our first time studying what we like, following our own decisions. Yes, a huge stage is ending and although this moment is an extremely sad one for us all, it is also a hopeful one because although a stage is ending.... Of course a new stage does not in any way replace the other one, nothing ever will, because some memories created inside the school can never be forgotten, the things we've learned can never be erased and the bonds we've created between us can never be dissolved. Yes, a huge stage, I know but our life is only just beginning. Our life begins here; we are freer than we have ever been and we are more young and adventurous when we will ever be.
